Jerk Fish

  • 4 Cloves garlic (roughly chopped)
  • 1 Medium onion (chopped)
  • 1 Jalapeno pepper (seeded and chopped)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2tbsp Olive oil
  • 2tbsp Natural maple syrup
  • 2tsp Thyme
  • 2tsp Black pepper
  • 2tsp Allspice
  • 1tsp Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Nutmeg
  • 1lb Firm white fish of your choice


Combine all ingredients, except for the fish, in a blender or food processor and puree.  Place fish in a bowl and coat with puree.  Marinade for at least 1 hour or even better overnight.  When ready to cook, spray a large skillet with nonstick spray over medium-high heat.  Add fish and cook for approx 3 to 5 minutes each side.  Serve with vegetables.
